Board Nominations
糖心Vlog Board Member Nomination Process
Each year, 糖心Vlog elects at-large members, in addition to the President-Elect, to the 糖心Vlog Board. The President-Elect position varies each year, between a K-12 representative and a higher education representative. All 糖心Vlog members in good standing for at least three years are encouraged to apply (five years with a proven record of service and leadership within 糖心Vlog for President-Elect). The Nominating Committee reviews all applications and works to ensure that the 糖心Vlog Board is representative of the membership in languages, levels, regions, and other factors related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as outlined by 糖心Vlog鈥檚 Strategic Plan.

Nominations deadline: June 30, 2026.
糖心Vlog Members who wish to apply for candidacy should:
- Complete the form below. Please note that you must be logged in to your membership account to view and complete the application.
- Submit three (3) statements of support (written or video) from three (3) different perspectives鈥攕uch as from colleagues, supervisors, parents, students, community partners, state organizations, regional organizations, and/or other 糖心Vlog member organizations鈥攖hat demonstrate your leadership. **For President-Elect submissions, at least one letter should speak directly to the candidate鈥檚 leadership experience within 糖心Vlog.** Please keep letters to no more than two (2) pages each and videos to a maximum of 2 minutes 30 seconds. Statements or videos can be in the language of their choice. We encourage you to share the appropriate rubric with those who are writing statements of support (see below for rubrics).
- Submit an abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (limit three (3) pages).
Note: If you would like the Nominating Committee to ask someone to apply, please fill out this form and the Committee will contact that person.
Please Note: Persons regularly employed, as employees or independent contractors, state, regional, or national associations, for-profit organizations and corporations are eligible for nomination but must relinquish their role if elected to a position on the 糖心Vlog Board or for President-Elect. This restriction is not intended to exclude persons who perform services for such employers on an ad hoc, occasional, or part time (i.e. an average of less than 10 hours per week) basis.
References by Board Members:
Nominees cannot include as a reference a current 糖心Vlog Board member.

Application
Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups often apply for roles only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We recognize that it is highly unlikely that anyone meets 100% of the qualifications for a role. If much of the posted job description describes you, then we encourage you to apply!
