ÌÇÐÄVlog partners with select colleges and universities to offer discounts on online courses

Boston University Wheelock Graduate Degrees

Boston University

has partnered with ÌÇÐÄVlog to support students who are pursuing graduate degrees in World Language/Modern Foreign Language Education.

ÌÇÐÄVlog members receive an automatic 33% scholarship for part-time enrollment in the (on-campus or online) or the (on-campus).

The application fee for these programs is also waived for ÌÇÐÄVlog members. To request an application fee waiver, please email whegrad@bu.edu with your CAS ID number, which is generated after you begin your application and is found in the top right-hand corner of the application system.


Carnegie Mellon Professional Certificate in Language Program Administration

Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Languages, Cultures & Applied Linguistics now offers ÌÇÐÄVlog members 10% off tuition for the . To qualify, applicants should upload proof of current ÌÇÐÄVlog membership, such as a membership confirmation email or membership card, at the time of application.

The certificate is designed for language educators and administrators who want practical, graduate-level preparation in language program leadership. The program focuses on key areas of language program administration, including 

  • curriculum design and review
  • leadership and teacher supervision
  • language program evaluation
  • business administration of language programs

The certificate is offered asynchronously online and is especially well suited for working professionals or graduate students seeking to build leadership skills while continuing in their current roles.


Concordia College M.ED. in World Language Instruction

Concordia Graduate & Continuing Studies

Concordia College now offers ÌÇÐÄVlog members 10% off their program. The part-time program is designed for full-time working professionals and offers a pathway to licensure. It is predominantly an online program with a very unique aspect of 10 days spent in Bemidji with site visits to Concordia Language Villages.

The partnership will allow ÌÇÐÄVlog and Concordia College to more closely collaborate on curriculum, guest presenters, and licensure issues. To qualify you will need a Bachelor's Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better (official transcripts), 3 recommendations, a CV, and an application essay. Everything is done on GradCAS, which makes the process really easy.



Weber State Online Methods Course

Weber State University

ÌÇÐÄVlog and Weber State University (Ogden, UT) have developed an Online teaching methods course that reflects state-of-the-art research and practice in language education. This course is offered through WSU Online during select summer sessions. For information concerning registration or to see an outline and syllabus, go to: .

Several audiences have been identified for this course:

  • Undergraduate, pre-service foreign language teachers who do not have access to a foreign language teaching methods course at a time or place convenient to them.
  • Teachers holding a Bachelor’s degree who are seeking endorsement or meeting certification requirements and do not have access to a foreign language teaching methods course at a time or place convenient to them.

Both undergraduate and graduate credit is available through Weber State University.

Individuals may enroll independently and receive credit from WSU, which can be transferred to their own institutions.
